Dr. Yana Nedvetsky

D.D.S

Dr. Yana Nedvetsky has practiced dentistry in Chicago for over 20 years. She is dedicated to developing and maintaining long-term relationships with her patients and strives to provide expert comprehensive care. Dr. Nedvetsky received her dental degree from Case Western Reserve University in Ohio where she was awarded the Dean’s Award for Excellence in Oral Medicine, Oral Pathology, and Oral Radiology. She then went on to obtain multiple certificates in advanced oral surgery at different institutions such as the Misch International Implant Institute and Fellowship, the Pikos Implant Institute, and the Edward P. Allen Center for Advanced Dental Education to name a few. She joined the Department of Orthodontics at the UIC College of Dentistry as a clinical assistant professor in 2007 and continues to teach. Dr. Nedvetsky has served as the President of the Chicago Dental Forum, and as the chair of the hospitality committee in the Academy of Operative Dentistry.

Dr.. Nedvetsky has served as the vice president of the Academy of Operative Dentistry. She spends her spare time supporting the pursuits of her three children: Jan – a cellist, Natalie – a pianist and student of classical piano performance at Juilliard School and Russian Literature and History at Columbia University, and Nicole – a journalist and founder of the “Unearth Women” initiative.

Dr. Theresa Neal

D.D.S

Dr. Theresa Neal comes from the sunny state of California, where she earned her dental degree at The University of Southern California, Los Angeles. She has practiced in her hometown of San Jose, CA since 2011 and has since relocated to Chicago with her husband. Dr. Theresa is comfortable performing all phases of dentistry, and particularly enjoys working with children. She has a passion for continuing dental education, and is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the Illinois State Dental Society. During her free time, she loves spending time outdoors, at sporting events with her husband, and cooking up a feast for family and friends. She looks forward to meeting you soon!

Dr. Janice Choo

Dr. Janice Choo grew up surrounded by the sprawling cornfields of Champaign, IL. She stayed in Champaign to finish her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry at the University of Illinois before obtaining her dental degree from the Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine in yet another rural town: Alton, IL. Upon graduating, she came to the city of Chicago to complete her General Practice Residency at the Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, and she fell in love with the city’s restaurants, cafes, and beautiful architecture. The city's charm greatly influenced her decision to settle down here with her husband, and now they're enjoying the big city life together! In her free time, she enjoys golfing, baking, and exploring the city on long walks.

Dr. Choo enjoys equipping her patients with all the tools and education needed to practice good oral hygiene at home. A perfectionist at heart, she takes her time with each patient to ensure that they get the highest quality of care. She is a member of the Illinois State Dental Society, American Dental Association, and the Chicago Dental Society.

Dr. Mahadi Salama

Dr. Mahadi Salama earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the October 6 University in Cairo, Egypt in 2013. He then completed, with honors, the highly esteemed Advanced Restorative Residency program at UCLA in 2025. During his residency, Dr. Salama trained with many talented mentors, worked as a part-time teaching assistant, and was awarded the honor of the "Biggest Dental Nerd". Dr. Salama is a genuinely eager and motivated lifelong learner, with a prime focus on challenging his skill set to achieve excellence.

Currently, Dr. Salama is in private practice where he offers a wide range of modern and biomimetic procedures in Restorative, Prosthodontic, Cosmetic, and Aesthetic dentistry, including inlays, onlays, partial crowns, and veneers. He has advanced training in all types of minimally invasive gold restorations, as well as highly technique-sensitive gold foils. He is particularly passionate about utilizing advanced techniques to prolong the vitality and function of teeth that would otherwise be deemed nearly hopeless.

Dr. Salama is an active member of the prestigious Academy of Operative Dentistry, California Dental Association, and American Dental Association.
